It was in the beginning of 1970 that a wave of establishing English Medium School gathered momentum all over Kerala. It was then that the School Management of the Malabar Special Police too thought of establishing an English Medium School at the District Headquarters of Malappuram, for imparting quality education mainly for the wards of MSP Personnel and their dependants.
Accordingly in 1974 MSP took its first leap in the context when it opened its English Medium KG School in a single room with only seven students and one teacher. On 23/5/1987 it was upgraded to 7th standard and got recognition. In 1992-93 it was again upgraded to High School. Permanent recognition was obtained in 1994 for the High School section. We had our first SSLC batch in 1994 with 100% result and we continued to keep the credit since then. In the SSLC examination 2001 -02 we fetched the 12th Rank at the state level. We also bagged 14th Rank in the year 2003-04. We are proud that the humble beginning of the school has given way to excellence of our children in all fields.
The infrastructure of KG Section has expanded with modern facilities. No other school has such modern gadgets in Malabar region. Our Seminar hall has recently inaugurated. Also the school has different club activities such as Science Club, Social Club, Math’s Club, IT Club etc.
WE have 32 separate Class Rooms. The school staff includes 42 teachers faculty and 14 supporting staff. The school Library holds about 4000 books in different categories. It has been fully computerized recently. And also we have modern computer Lab to cater to the emerging IT scenario. The School also has a modern Public Address System.
In short, the School is capable of meeting challenges of modern educational needs of children.
